Residential Weekends

Residential July 2023

Back at High Leigh for another fabulous weekend with Kate Pankhurst. This time we are making a beautiful Bee Box, the proper method, all stitched and no glue! A stunning gold work bee sits on the lid. Thanks you Kate, for being an amazing tutor.

Residential July 2022

After two years of lockdown we finally returned to High Leigh for another fantastic residential weekend.

A huge thank you to Michele Carragher for her tuition in making these glorious birds.

2019  We had a fabulous weekend at High Leigh in Hoddesdon immersing ourselves in our favourite past time with friends. The centre was comfortable and supplied us with excellent food and beautiful surroundings.

Thank you to our two hardworking tutors. Francis Pickering leading a group in making Journals with a huge variety of textiles and techniques. Kay Dennis patiently lead the other group in stumpwork to produce many different leaves, bark, catkins, flowers and blackberries.

2017  What more could you ask for than spending a weekend among friends and pursuing your hobby in an idyllic location?

Well, that exactly what we did at High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon.

We split into two groups, one with Mary McIntosh creating stunning fabric entitled ‘Life’s a Bleach’ and the other group with Jennifer Hughes developing a beautiful Thai silk bag or an intricate sample of Banjara embroidery.
